Setting the tone...Grey Skies

1) Carnaby Street - London in it's heyday during fabulous swinging sixties. (image source unknown)
2) Grey but definitely not gloomy interior inspiration from Elle decoration.  I love the dark ceiling.
3) Killer heels from the intimidatingly talented Alexander Wang £485.00 ($770.00) from here.
4) Bargain brilliant nail polish in Grey, only £2.99 ($4.75) from Barry M.  These polishes are superb.
5) This mascara will give you lashes for days! one of my 'go to' products in my kit, Diorshow New look £23.00 ($38.00)
6) Foil printed jumper, shiny enough to brighten up even the greyest day (you'd hope!), £45.00 from Miss Selfridge
7) Bobbi Brown always makes the most wearable palettes and this one is no exception. Smoking.
8) Dark and Moody towels from Anthropologie £6.00 ($9.50) - £28.00 ($45.00)
9) These have been around for a while but I will never get over how gorgeous they are, A Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde,

Sirens

Sometimes a product comes along that is just so genius that you wished you had thought of it.  This is one of those products.  Waterproof bronzer, so we have the mascara pool-proof, even lipstick can withstand a glamourous dip, but what about your sun kissed glow?  This is made by an incredible company called Hourglass,  The Venice, California based make-up brand was launched in 2004 by Carisa James.  I discovered it exclusively in Liberty, London, last month.

Their products are multifunctional and their brushes are endorsed by PETA, always a huge plus in my book.  Some synthetic brushes struggle to match up to their natural bristle counterparts, but these are so thick and luxurious, providing an amazing finish on the skin.

My absolute favourite product from Hourglass so far is this, Extreme sheen lipgloss in - Siren.  I have never in all my time as a make-up artist discovered such a vibrant, dramatic and metallic red.  I will be doing a tutorial soon showing how to achieve the perfect red pout and this is definitely one of the products I will be showcasing, you will be stunned at the results!

Wouldn't this be a great look to work with your shiny red lips, courtesy of the super talented Charlotte Olympia, her shoes are always works of art!

Finally I would like to introduce you to my guy, Daniel.

He has kindly agreed to help me out around here. When it comes to guys I am often asked questions about, eyebrow taming, pimples, dry lips, scar reduction, oily skin,  great hair products, you get the idea.  Usually by male actors, models, friends and family, I figured it was time answer some of those questions and with Daniel's opinion on the grooming products I ask him to try, review some of the potential solutions here.  So Gents, and Ladies, for all the men in your life, keep your eye out for our upcoming Gentleman's Row posts.

If the shoe fits.....

Its the start of wedding season in London now, and whilst the whole world is aware of a very Royal occasion happening in the capital in a couple of weeks. There are believe it or not, a few other couples getting married this spring. So I have been searching for the perfect statement shoe to compliment a very neutral toned selection of outfits for the various upcoming nuptials I am to attend, I stumbled across these beauties.

And fell in love. These are absolutely perfect.

Their palette reminded me of a few make up purchases I made during my recent trip to NYC. The products from the Wonder Woman limited collection that MAC recently stocked. A gorgeous summer bronzer.

And a subtle neutral lip.

Although just so you know, Wonder Woman herself, no matter how fabulous she might be is not the look I'm planning to rock this wedding season. The shoes are definitely fierce enough.
